What you’ll be doing:
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care across all phases of the perioperative pathway.
- Assist the surgical team by preparing operating theatres, equipment, and instrumentation.
- Scrub, circulate, or provide anaesthetic or recovery support during a range of orthopaedic procedures.
- Monitor patients’ clinical condition and respond promptly to any changes, escalating concerns as appropriate.
What we’re looking for:
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) with Level 3 qualification.
- Current NMC or HCPC registration.
- Significant clinical experience within a hospital theatre department, specifically in orthopaedics.
- We welcome applications from candidates within both the NHS and independent sector, with experience in Scrub, Anaesthetics, and/or Recovery.
- Surgical First Assistant (SFA) or Surgical Care Practitioner (SCP) qualification would be desirable, but is not essential.
- You must have excellent communication skills and a commitment to clinical excellence and patient safety.
