The Perks of Being A Recruiter: Our Brand New Benefits Package

Like most businesses, 2020 wasn’t the best year for us here at Stroud Resourcing. We saw a hiring freeze across the healthcare industry as the pandemic forced us into multiple lockdowns, and we all tried to adapt to new ways of working. 

While we’re incredibly proud of how well we were able to support the team here through these difficult times, we could see that changes to the way we work must also mean changes to the way we’re compensated. That’s why, in May 2021, we set about reviewing and reforming our entire benefits package. From sick pay to sabbaticals, we went through our benefits with a fine-toothed comb to put together a package that really rewards our team for their hard work. 

One of the most important aspects for us was ensuring that everyone was supported through different stages of their lives and careers. So, when it came to family planning benefits, we wanted to go far beyond simple maternity and paternity leave – we set out to make sure our team were supported every step of the way when starting a family. Our revamped benefits package now includes leave for loss of pregnancy, fertility treatment and adoption, and we also now offer financial support toward the cost of fertility treatments. 

We have always been committed to working with our colleagues to raise their skill set and drive their earning potential to exceed median annual earnings that represent their age group. Recently, however, we added the option for team members to receive annual financial planning advice from a trusted, local Financial Advisor giving them access to independent, impartial advice in a range of areas from retirement planning, savings and investment, income protection, and mortgage advice. 

Altogether, we wanted to ensure that our team are supported in their personal lives as well as professionally, and we recognise that there’s lots of ways to go about this. As a Good Business Charter and Real Living Wage Foundation accredited business, we take our commitment to colleagues seriously, and we endeavour to make Stroud Resourcing a great place to work. Benefits are just one piece of the puzzle, but we’re proud to now offer a benefits pack that rivals many FTSE 100 companies.
