An Insight Into The Story Behind Fertility Talent

Some stories shape not just who you are, but what you build.

For us at Stroud Resourcing, the creation of Fertility Talent didn't begin with a business plan. It began with a deeply personal journey to become parents experienced by the directors, Joanna Stroud and Guy Stroud. A journey marked by heartbreak, resilience, gratitude and ultimately, hope. One that profoundly changed how they viewed the fertility and women's health sector, strengthening their commitment to supporting the professionals working within it.

For a long time, this was not a story shared publicly. It was one of the most painful chapters of their lives. But over time, it became clear that behind Fertility Talent sits a deeply personal reason for why it exists.

Through their own fertility journey, Joanna and Guy developed a profound respect for this remarkable industry. They experienced first-hand the skill. compassion and dedication required to support individuals and couples through some of the most emotionally complex moments of their lives. Without this sector, they would not have their children; a truth that sits at the heart of Fertility Talent.

A Journey That Changed Everything

Like thousands of couples, their path to parenthood was long and uncertain. Over four years, they endured multiple pregnancy losses, medical trauma and periods where hope felt painfully out of reach. Each step of the journey relied on expertise and care of fertility and women's health professionals across different healthcare systems and even different countries.

One moment, in particular, remains deeply significant.

Following a ruptured ectopic pregnancy while traveling in Thailand, Joanna was rushed to Bangkok Phuket Hosptial, where Kittipat Pongpech performed life-saving emergency surgery. His skill and composure under immense pressure not only saved her life but preserved their chance of becoming parents.

Years later, On Christmas Day, Joanna and Guy returned to Bangkok Phuket Hospital but this time with their children, Roy and Matilda, to thank Dr Kittipat in person and fulfill a promise made during one of the darkest moments of their lives. A promise rooted in gratitude.

That return was not just about looking forward. It was a recognition of the countless professionals across the fertility and women's health sector who dedicate their lives to helping others move forward.

From personal Experience to Professional Purpose

At the time of their fertility journey, Stroud Resourcing was already recruiting within healthcare. But living through infertility gave Guy and Joanna a new perspective on the sector. They saw how specialist, nuanced and emotionally demanding fertility truly is. Moreover, how vital it is that clinics and organisations are supported by people who genuinely understand the industry.

Their experience made it clear that fertility and women's health deserved something more focused. Something built with empathy, credibility and lived understanding. That insight led to the creation of Fertility Talent, a dedicated recruitment brand solely focused on supporting the fertility and women's health sector.

Fertility Talent was born from lived experience and understanding the difference the right clinician, embryologist, nurse, researcher or leader can make, not just outcomes but to lives.

Why This Story Still Matters

While Guy and Joanna's story has a happy ending, they remain acutely aware of how close their came to a very different outcome.

That awareness continues to shape their commitment to the sector.

Fertility Talent exists to support the professionals who supported them. To champion an industry that provides hope when it is needed most. And to ensure clinics and organisations have access to the talent they need to continue changing lives every day.

Stroud Resourcing is proud to stand behind Fertility Talent and the vital work it does, rooted in compassion, expertise and a deep respect for people who make parenthood possible for so many.
