Harvesting Hope: Our Autumn Charity Initiative

Harvesting Hope: Our Autumn Charity Initiative

As part of our ongoing quarterly charity programme, we’re proud to introduce our Autumn initiative, centred around gratitude and sharing abundance. Following our Spring Fresh Start Drive and Summer Share the Sunshine initiative, this next phase reflects a season traditionally associated with harvest, reflection and community.

A Seasonal Approach to Giving Back

Our charity initiative is structured around the four seasons allowing us to support different causes throughout the year and respond to evolving community needs.

By spreading our efforts across quarterly initiatives, we’re able to maintain consistent charitable support in a way that remains sustainable for a small, independent business.

Our Autumn Focus: Gratitude and Sharing Abundance

Autumn is a time of reflection, an opportunity to recognise what we have and consider how we can support those who many be facing hardship.

This quarter, our focus is on non-perishable food collection to support a local food bank, helping provide essential items to individuals and families within our community who may be struggling with the rising cost of living.

Non-perishable food donations offer a simple yet powerful way to give back, turning everyday items into meaningful support for those who need it most.

If you’re close to the York area, we’d love for you to get involved! You can drop donations off at our York office: Wizu | East Coast House, 25 Skeldergate, York, YO1 6DH.

What to donate:

To ensure donations are safe and appropriate for those receiving them, we kindly ask that contributions do not include cleaning products, medications (such as paracetamol or ibuprofen) or razors, and donate new/unopened items only. The deadline for donations is the 1st of September.

Why Physical Donations Work for Small Businesses

As a small business, we understand the challenges that come with regular monetary giving. That’s why our quarterly charity programme centres on physical donations, allowing people to contribute in a way that feels accessible and pressure-free.

This approach:

Together these collective efforts help create real, tangible impact.

Encouraging a Culture of Giving Among SMEs

Charitable giving doesn’t need to be defined by scale or budget. By focusing on practical, community-led initiatives, SMEs can play a vital role in supporting local causes.

We hope our Autumn food collection encourages other small businesses to reflect on how they can share their own abundance and support those around them.

Looking Ahead

As we move closer to the final quarter of our charity programme, we’re grateful to everyone who continues to get involved. We look forward to sharing updates on the impact on our Autumn initiative and carrying this spirit of giving into the winter months.

Because sometimes, the simplest acts of generosity make the greatest difference.
