Celebrating Real Living Wage Week: Proud to Be an Accredited Real Living Wage Employer
This week, we’re celebrating Real Living Wage Week, a time to recognise employers and organisations across the UK who go the extra mile to ensure their teams are paid a wage that truly reflects the cost of living.
At Stroud Resourcing, we’re proud to be an accredited Real Living Wage Employer. This means that we’re committed to paying all our employees, a wage based on what people need to live, not just the government minimum.
Why the Real Living Wage Matters
The Real Living Wage is independently calculated each year by the Living Wage Foundation, reflecting the real costs of housing, food, travel, and other essentials. It’s higher than the National Living Wage because it’s grounded in what’s needed for a decent standard of living.
For us, paying the Real Living Wage isn’t just about fair pay, it’s about respect, and doing the right thing. We believe that when people are supported and fairly rewarded for their hard work, they can thrive both in and outside of work.
Our Commitment
Becoming a Real Living Wage Employer was a natural step for us. It aligns perfectly with our values of fairness, inclusion, and community. Our team is at the heart of everything we do and ensuring that everyone earns enough to live comfortably is one way we show our appreciation and commitment to them.
To celebrate Real Living Wage Week, we’ve also created a special video highlighting what being a Real Living Wage Employer means to us and to the people who make our organisation what it is. The video features voices from across our team, sharing what fair pay means to them and why this commitment matters.
