In the spotlight: Stress Awareness Month with Charlotte

One of my main passions in life has always been health and fitness – going to the gym, listening to my favourite music, and smashing out a tough workout is my favourite way to relieve stress. Lockdown caused me to have to adapt my fitness routine but in embracing this, I have developed a new love for high intensity (HIT) workouts – they definitely cause you to work up a sweat and I find this is a great way to relax and relieve stress.

Another way that I have been enjoying some ‘me’ time is by going on long walks with my dog Hugo. In York we are blessed with some lovely sites and there are plenty of country walks right on our doorstep. Our favourite has been to walk down by the river on a morning before work – the fresh air and sound of the water makes this a peaceful and lovely way to start the day.
