Celebrating our 13th year of trading!

As with every organisation, the pandemic created unprecedented challenges this year. We experienced a 4-month recruitment freeze and then moved into one of the busiest periods we have ever experienced.

Thanks to our business agility, the strength of our technology, the consistency of our communication, and the hard work and dedication of our talented team, we have manifested into a stronger business and look forward to a new normality as restrictions are lifted. That’s something to celebrate!

The Stroud Resourcing team would like to thank our managing director, Joanna, for her incredible resilience and transparency within this year of uncertainly. Her commitment to both the business and employees inspires us all every day. Over the last year, Joanna has reviewed our entire benefits package - creating further security and trust among company and employees. Alongside this she has taken Stroud Resourcing from strength to strength; launching TWO news businesses, Fertility Talent and The Alternative Workspace, all during a pandemic. What’s more, we’re pleased to announce that we’ve just received accreditation from the Good Business Charter (GBC), reinforcing our commitment to lead by example in building a fairer, greener and more diverse recruitment industry.

Joanna is our very own superhero, spinning plates like no other, she is always mindful of the company's progress and the needs of our people.

A trip to Cartmel

In recognition of the added commitment needed during the pandemic, Joanna organised an incredible night away in the beautiful Lake District village of Cartmel.

The trip started with a delicious brunch to help fuel our a 10K mountain hike, where we soaked up the panoramic coastal views from The Hospice on the top of Hampsfell. Which came with the precarious ‘wet’ weather that the Lake District is known and loved for. Thankfully, we were sporting our flat caps for an extract layer of protection, in celebration of Yorkshire Day!

After drying off, we enjoyed an afternoon of wine tasting at Unsworth’s Yard, perfectly presented by our knowledgeable host and founder, David Unsworth, and paired with mini local cuisine dishes. We ended the day with stay at the 450-year-old pub, The Cavendish Arms - a beautiful place to rest our heads after a gastro-pub evening meal.

Before our departure the following day, we were let loose on the hills surrounding Carmel on an incredible Segway tour of the village, leading us to views over Morecambe Bay, Grange-over-Sands, and Blackpool - we could even see Blackpool Tower. This was a highlight of the trip, once we had all overcome our initial nerves, we were on a roll!

We are so proud to be part of your team, Joanna & Guy!
