The hopital's General Manager was taking retirement earlier than anticipated so a replacement was needed with a matter of urgency . There were no internal candidates and the client wanted to head hunt to ensure that 100% of the target market was approached. A limited timescale was a key challenge.
Upon briefing us at Stroud Resourcing, the HR Director identified that it would be advantageous to find a replacement from one of the hospital’s three major competitors. We produced a target list of candidate names from an initial name gathering exercise. This list was presented to the HR Director and Chief Operating Officer to approve. In addition, a database search was performed to open up the search to candidates from other areas of healthcare, for example, elderly and residential care, mental health and the NHS.
The campaign was concluded successfully with the new General Manager being headhunted from a leading hospital group. In total, twenty seven candidates were identified and they were then narrowed down to a shortlist of four that progressed to interview.
The campaign was completed within twelve weeks from the initial briefing to the preferred candidate, joining the company.
“Guy Stroud has been an excellent person to deal with. He contacted me in December to inform me of a job opportunity that I may be interested in.
Unlike other recruitment consultants, he was not pushy at all, he was well aware of the job specification he was promoting and was able to quickly inform me that the prospect of this position could potentially enhance my career.
He set up various interviews and meetings very swiftly and has been on the other end of the phone to answer any of my queries along the way. Guy has been a pleasure to deal with.”
