To round off a very successful financial year, the Stroud Resourcing team celebrated in style with a morning of fun group activities, followed by a day and evening out in Leeds! We went bowling (and things got rather competitive!), before heading out for a cocktail masterclass, a delicious meal, and drinks at the impressive Skylounge Bar!

At the End of each financial year we make a donation to our chosen charity. This year we donated £1,000 to GAIN – a charity which helps those affected by Guillain-Barre Syndrome.

Guillain-Barre Syndrome (or GBS) is a rare condition that causes the body’s immune system to attack the peripheral nervous system. The symptoms are debilitating, and in some cases life-threatening, causing muscle weakness, numbness, tingling, and pain in the limbs. In serious cases the breathing muscles can be affected, requiring mechanical ventilation to help the person affected breathe. Usually the condition develops after a viral or bacterial infection. While many recover from this illness, around 10-15% end up permanently disabled, and around 5-8% die.

GAIN not only support those affected by the syndrome and their families, but also fund research into the causes and symptoms of this devastating illness. To read more about this charity please click the link below.

We are just in the process of nominating a charity for this financial year and look forward to some fun packed fund raising!
